Igarashi Motors
Ltd started in the year 1946 by Eiji Igarashi who established a private company
in Kawasaki, for the production and sales of D.C. motors for toys and model
ships. It has been developing and manufacturing small D.C. motors, for more
than fifty years. In India the company was established in the year 1993 in a
joint venture with Crompton Greaves for development, production and sales of DC
motors, DC motors with accessory, and assembly service like end
cap/case/armature. The company has developing and manufacturing small DC motors
for more than fifty years and has done pioneering work in product development,
improvement and testing for the creation of new manufacturing technologies.
The
design/development/technical departments in Japan, China, and India will
continue to dedicate to providing better technology and realizing the creation
of highly efficient small DC motors. Motors produced by Igarashi Motor Sales
are designed in accordance with ISO 9002 regulations to ensure quality products
with optimal functionality. Before, during, and after production, our motors
are subject to intense quality controls and testing methods to ensure
reliability. Design FMEA and Process FMEA are extensively used to secure
efficiency and dependability- Technology
Igarashi has
been developing and manufacturing small DC motors and Gear motors for over half
a century and has done so by pioneering work in product development, process
improvement and ongoing testing. Our design, development and technical
departments in Japan, China and India are dedicated to providing continual
improvements through new technologies and material selections in order to
provide our customer base with efficient and high reliability products. Business
Bosch was a very important customer who led
our recovery and growth and co-operative functional teams were set up between
Bosch and the company ensured both – Quality and stability of Business.
The second major
Project that took off was the US car project that has working with the US car
industry for many years. On the Technology desk, Some interesting projects
related to electric motors and with the financial strengthening, and will
address new projects as for the future process. Gradual take off on the
projects with the Bosch joint venture visible and the next 3 years should see
strong build up. Future Business
The company will
initiate all actions to merge all the Indian operations related to the electric
motors in one single entity and this group is expected to generate revenues of
over 100 million US $ in 2 years and thereafter- look to doubling in the next 3
to 4 years.

1)Application for Automobile:
As we can see an appearance of hybrid car which is used concomitantly with
engine and electric motor, an electric automobile as near-future car An
electric car as a future car is an obvious trend as you can see some hybrid
cars by conventional internal combustion engine and/or electric motor have
become commonplace. Long before the beginning of electric drive trend, however,
a number of small DC motors have been used in automobile. It is said that about
20 motors are used in compact car, 50 to 60 motors in big car, 100 motors and
more in a luxury car. Not to mention, very strict requirements for automotive
use need to be met, like miniaturization, high performance, high reliability
and low noise. We Igarashi, in addition to conventional automotive applications
such as in washer pump and door lock, are now developing and manufacturing a
wide variety of motors for Electronic Throttle Valve Control (ETC) to enhance
engine performance, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Air pump, Seat adjuster
(position, height), Headrest, Lumbar support for comfy driving, furthermore,
Slide door and Talegate Opener, Sunshade, dashboard actuator.
2) Application
for OA equipment: Office appliances provide
us with an efficient work at office as well as at home. Its function improvement
never stops. IG Motors have been used for a number of machines like copier,
printer, multifunctional printer and electric stapler.
3) Application for Power tool
and Electric fishing reel: DIY offers the sense of
fulfillment to build up something and a power tool can give you a great convenience even to a simple screw
cramp or drilling. Also, for anyone who likes fishing, the electric fishing
reel contributes to produce the scene of hooking a large fish. IG Motors have
been used in those tools
4) Application
for Household appliance: Motors are used in a number of household appliances and it
is difficult to find one without a motor inside.

for Industrial appliance: Motor-driven systems can be seen in
